DAYTON, Ohio, Aug 18, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR), announced today that SUPERVALU INC., the third-largest retail grocer in the United States, has expanded its Teradata data warehouse with an 18-node upgrade to more powerfully utilize Teradata's market-leading analytical software. The upgraded platform uses the new Teradata 5450 server, which features a boost of 18 percent in the price/performance ratio over previous models.
SUPERVALU continues to consolidate data into a single enterprise data warehouse, providing business users with the information needed to quickly respond to market changes. This latest upgrade also includes professional services and back-up and recovery services.
