NCR to install point-of-sale solution in chain's 65 full-service restaurants
Paragon Steakhouse Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIZL), a nationally recognized full-service restaurant chain, has awarded NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) a $1.1 million contract to install NCR point-of-sale (POS) systems in the chain's 65 locations.Paragon operates Hungry Hunter's, Hunter's Steakhouse, Mountain Jack's and Carvers restaurants in 11 states.
The total store automation solution will include NCR's 7460 touchscreen workstation, plus personal computers, receipt printers, Aloha TableService POS software from Aloha Technologies and back office software from MenuLink Computer Solutions, Inc. Following pilot installations in two stores late this year, a chain-wide rollout is scheduled for the first and second quarters of 2002.
NCR's project management and staging services, as well as the advanced technology and configuration flexibility of the NCR 7460, were key reasons cited by Paragon for selecting NCR.
