With Compris Order Entry Application, restaurant operators can offer customers shorter waits and more convenience
Compris Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), today introduced the food service industry to software that allows customers to place food orders from virtually any device.With the Compris Order Entry Application, restaurant patrons can place their food and beverage orders from a Web-enabled phone, Web TV, home-delivery call center, hand-held terminal or Web browser. The menu contents are sent to the order entry application on any device in XML format; the order is then placed remotely and sent to a local restaurant for processing.
Once the restaurant receives the order and processes it, the system confirms that the order has been placed and provides an order number and confirmation back to the customer. Additionally, the application supports self-service kiosk devices, which allow customers to place their own orders at the restaurants.
