Glen S. Fukushima Appointed Co-President of NCR Japan Ltd.

DAYTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2004--NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR) today announced that Glen S. Fukushima has been named co-president of NCR Japan.

Fukushima, whose appointment is effective immediately, will serve in the co-president role with Hideki Hosoi and has also been named to NCR Japan's board of directors.

His responsibilities include leading NCR Japan's financial solutions business as well as overseeing the company's support infrastructure in Japan.

Fukushima joins NCR Japan from Cadence Design Systems, Inc. where he served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of the software company's business operations in Japan. Prior to that, he was corporate vice president of the global management consulting firm Arthur D. Little, Inc. and president of its Japan organization.

Earlier he was with AT&T Corporation where he held a number of senior management positions, including vice president of international affairs of AT&T Japan Ltd.

Prior to his AT&T experience, Fukushima served as deputy assistant United States trade representative for Japan and China at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in Washington.

He also serves on the boards of Mizuho Financial Group, Nissho Electronics Corporation and Fidelity International Funds.

Fukushima holds a law degree from the Harvard Law School and a master of arts degree from Harvard. Additionally, he has completed all the requirements, except the dissertation, for a doctorate in political sociology from Harvard.

    He received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
