September 25, 2002 at 10:33 AM EDT
DAYTON, Ohio, Sep 25, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The 16th annual Teradata PARTNERS User Group Conference and Expo will feature internationally recognized keynote speakers addressing the conference theme "Accelerating the Future." Known as one of the most respected and effective user-group conferences in the data warehousing industry, PARTNERS 2002 will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel & Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nev., Sept. 29 - Oct. 3. Teradata is a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR).

Dr. Gary Hamel is recognized worldwide for his strategic capabilities. The Economist calls him "the world's reigning strategy guru." The Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Peter Senge calls him "the most influential thinker on strategy in the Western world." Chairman of Strategies, a firm dedicated to helping other companies create industry-wide revolution, Hamel is also a visiting professor of strategy and international management at the London Business School.

Hamel's most recent book, "Competing for the Future," has been hailed by BusinessWeek, The Economist, The Financial Times, The Washington Post and others as one of the decade's most influential business books. He completed a Fortune video seminar, "Competitiveness," as well as a Harvard Business School video seminar, "Competing for the Future." He will address PARTNERS attendees at the opening session on Monday, Sept. 30.

Harry S. Dent, Jr., also speaking during the opening session of PARTNERS on Monday, Sept. 30, is author of "The Great Boom Ahead" and "Job Shock: Four New Principles Transforming Our Work and Business," which was later re-released as "The Great Jobs Ahead." Using exciting new research, developed from years of hands-on business experience, Dent offers a refreshingly positive and understandable view of the future. He proposes practical applications at all levels: from personal investments to business strategies to jobs and changes in the workplace to growth areas for real estate.

Dent has appeared on ABC-TV's "Good Morning America," PBS, CNBC and The Business Channel and has been featured in Fortune, Success, The Wall Street Journal and Omni. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and was elected to the Century Club for Leadership Excellence.

Pat Croce graced the cover of Success magazine as the first person to ascend from the training room to the boardroom of a professional sports team. His move from physical therapist and pioneer in the sports medicine field to colorful leader responsible for the resurrection of the Philadelphia 76ers as an NBA championship contender is one of the most amazing stories in sports history.

In addition to receiving the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award and the Sales & Marketing Management magazine "Best Motivator" award, Croce was named an A & E Biography "Community Hero" and was recently featured on the cover of Inc. as "The Dale Carnegie of the 21st Century." He is author of The New York Times bestseller, "I Feel Great and You Will Too!," as well as "110%." He is writing his third book entitled, "Lead or Get Off the Pot!"

Croce will address the closing general session on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
