NCR Corporation(NYSE: NCR) today announced the launch of Usherman(TM), a new application that increases speed of service by enabling ushers to scan and retrieve ticket information at the usher stand or anywhere in the theatre. Compatible with the iPod touch 4G, theatre operators can download the application directly from the Apple iTunes store. Using an integrated sled that enables card swipes and scans barcodes, purchases can be found by confirmation number, credit card, gift card and loyalty card.

Usherman integrates seamlessly with Radiant point-of-sale software and provides theatre ushers with a way to quickly serve consumers who prefer the convenience of online ticketing. With this application, ushers can scan and retrieve tickets movie patrons have printed at home or downloaded to their Smartphone devices.
