SYRACUSE, N.Y., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- NCR Corporation's (NYSE: NCR) Worldwide Customer Services Division has been selected as a networking services partner by Syracuse-based CABLExpress Technologies, according to a joint announcement by the two companies.
Under the agreement, valued at $24 million over three years, NCR will provide high availability maintenance and implementation services for CABLExpress Technologies customer sites in North America and around the world.
CABLExpress is a reseller of new networking products from such manufacturers as Cisco, Nortel, Enterasys, and 3Com. The assurance of service and support for its entire product line, including certified pre-owned equipment, is a key consideration for its customers.
NCR's maintenance services involve help desk management and on-site repair of equipment. Implementation includes a site survey to determine equipment locations and connectivity requirements, staging of equipment to ensure it all works properly, and installation at the customer's site. By early spring, CABLExpress customers will be able to use NCR's enterprise management service, which can remotely monitor and diagnose entire networks from its Management Services Center in Atlanta.
