DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) today announced that its industry-leading Teradata database now supports Extensible Markup Language (XML), the Common Warehouse Model (CWM), and the Open Information Model (OIM).
With these new XML capabilities, NCR data warehouse customers will be able to import and export XML documents to and from Teradata. This feature is particularly valuable to companies in industries where XML standards have been developed for the electronic exchange of information. In addition, NCR and Meta Integration have worked together to provide support for industry standard metadata models such as the CWM, OIM, and other vendor specific metadata models.
NCR Teradata customers can download the XML data access middleware online from Meta Integration Technology, Inc. at www.metaintegration.net . Meta Integration sells the NCR Teradata middleware online starting at $500 per download, the complete set of software middleware components sells for approximately $5,000.
